Street Art Addendum

Another round of capping back on Mr. Brainwash's RHCP's advertisements.

This one is from Toolz. It is a 'street art addendum' that says '(*-you see, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are a multiplatinum band that can't buy ads for their latest album and instead hire a hack to put up posters over other street artists in their old hood because they are SO STREET.).'

Up with Help Desk.

  3. Maybe they are fans of MBW and this was a way to work with him. Remember things don't last long on the streets anyways! But capping is never good. If your're get'n PAID cap AWAY is how this looks.

  5. I dont think brainwash is getting paid for it he doesn't need the money. It would have been completely fine and actually kind of a cool campaign if he wasn't cappin the real street art he needed to find open spots

  6. Wow stoked, another RHCP album full of the same song over and over again.

Can we just cut to the chase and buff the band please.

  7. I'd rather the peppers advertise this way than give some fat pocket big wig company with endless money.

Ironically their advertisements are inadvertently working because they are making us talk about them, so they actually get more exposure this way than if they took the commercial route. bravo!

  8. This is great! MAJOR props! weak ass chili peppers. Thats what happens when your soul is signed over to warner bros. and some lame ass marketing reps try to be creative.

  13. I swear most of you on here are complete morons.
"Ironically their advertisements are inadvertently working because they are making us talk about them, so they actually get more exposure this way than if they took the commercial route. bravo!"--Really? Eleven people are commenting on a pic and you think this type of advertising is reaching more people than a full publicity record campaign?

"This is great! MAJOR props! weak ass chili peppers. Don't sell out and stay broke, that's the way to do it!!! Pffft. Fuck that, call me a sell out as I walk with my Ferrari key in one hand, and a dime piece's ass in the other.

  15. 1. That girl running by looks kinda hot

    2. To the dumb ass above, "8-30 2011" = August 30th

    3. I swear they have google alerts set up to send their interns across blogs to get all giddy about this shit

    4. rhcp have sucked for years, every band has an expiration date

    5. the biggest BS about this whole thing is that rhcp and mbw will never get in trouble for this while non-millionaires gettin up with better shit risk jail time and fines

    6. keeping buffing these fucking posers!!!

  16. i dont dig on capping, but i do dig on creativity. by advertising this way they dont give a dime to the corporate sponsors who are draining the life juice out of all artistic industries. its the same thing that Conan O'brien did when he went on his tour, he posted one tweet directing everyone to his site to buy tickets and they all sold out in one day. the fact that Mr. Brainwash capped other artists is his fuck up, not the chili peppers. Beyond that some of you need to understand the definition of an opinion. you can hate the chili peppers all you want but unless someone is holding a gun to your head and telling you to comment on this page then every negative thing you say about them stems from ignorance and immaturity. i for one am a huge chili pepper fan, i think this band is one of the few creative bands left who aren't scared to take chances. they have big balls under those socks and everyone should admire that. besides i bet some of you have a favorite band that many others cant fucking stand. just accept it as art and let people do and listen to what makes them happy...- Jesus Pablo
